Saying I Love You
How can you take such a powerfully strong emotion such as love so lightly? How can you toss it around and crush another’s emotions by saying I love you when you have no intentions behind it at all? And if there are, what is it that you love? Could it be the heart, the mind, the physicality, the mere essence that enraptures you and does it last a fleeting moment or is it a lasting savored flavor? Perhaps it is like a sweet that is on your tongue that is tasted and then gone, or a melody that pierces your soul that soon ends and becomes a faded memory, could it be a raging storm that begins with the heart pounding thunder and powerful lightning that blinds you and rains upon you? So often, I’ve heard “do you believe in love at first sight?” I think that love takes time. How can you know a person, mind, body and soul at first glance? You must walk, talk, live, love, laugh, dance, cry, and grow with them: share both good times and bad with that individual. Also, find forgiveness, give compassion, and see their inner beauty and strength and most of all accept them for who they are despite your differences. When you are out and about doing simple things, and you think, “gee, I sure wish he were here with me now”, if they’ve become your best friend, if the mere sound of their voice elates you, if one look into their eyes takes your breath away, if you think of them the first thing when you wake up and the last thing at the end of your day, then say I love you. And if you must say I love you, state that which you love about that person.

Where Seeds of Love Impart
Beyond desire of flesh deep within the human heart
There is a silent place where seeds of love impart
A gentle healing touch to the roots of quiet need
As the whole of emptiness no longer has to plead
A light so bright erupts from the darkness far within
The raindrops disappear and a rainbow comes again
The colors of the world seem brighter than before
What once was so gray isn’t cloudy anymore
The silence of the night where darkness filled the sky
Is illumined by bright stars and a Lovers’ lullaby
Shining down on two as they keep time with the dance
Swaying to the music of the sound of their romance
Gazing into eyes that say I love you so
A kiss seals the promise that was written long ago
The hand that held the hand right from the very start
Kept alive the hope inside where seeds of love impart
